Raiders Jackets and Bags Are In!

If you ordered a Raiders Jacket or Bag they will be available for pick-up on Saturday, October 15th from 5:30-6:30pm at the Clubhouse.

Please make arrangements for someone to be there to pick-up your order if you are unable to make it.

Contact your team manager if you have any questions or concerns.

Mom’s Pantry is in!


The Mom’s Pantry fundraising orders will be ready for pick up this Tuesday, October 4th; from 4:30-5:15pm.
Pick up will be at the same place that the cookie orders were picked up; the second parking lot (closest to Tim Horton’s) at AD Penner Park in between the baseball diamond and the football field.
We are unable to store any orders so please ensure that you are either able to pick up your orders or arrange for someone to pick it up for you.

Raiders Days a Huge Success

Raiders Days has come to a close for another year and it was a huge success!
On behalf of the Eastman Raiders Board, thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers. We could never have done it without you.
Thank you to our special guests that came out to celebrate 26 years of football with us; Bomber alumni Rod Hill and Nick Miller, Buzz and Boomer, Mix 96.7 who broadcast live from the field on Saturday, Boston Pizza, Elite Ozone and of course all of our amazing fans supporting the Eastman Raiders as well as the fans supporting our many guests!

The board members are now looking forward to taking a deep breath and diving into the rest of the season.

Raiders Days Weekend is THIS WEEKEND, August 27th-28th!

Come watch some fast-paced, hard-hitting Raiders Football this weekend and stay for the festivities. Here are just a few of the exciting events, activities and visitors we will have this weekend.

  • Buzz and Boomer will be out for both days
  • Boston Pizza will be on-site selling pizza by the slice
  • Bring a Tin for the Bin and dunk the coaches
    Inflatable obstacle course
  • Food and drink specials in the canteen
  • Clothing vendors on-site (Raiders jackets make awesome gifts!)
  • And many many more…

New mobile-friendly website launched!

You’re looking at the new Eastman Raiders website. We’ve given the site a make-over. Each Raiders team now has its own page where you can see all the latest news and info — look for your team under the ‘Teams’ menu. The ‘Schedule‘ page displays all Raiders games for the current month. Each team has its own color too so you can easily find your team. The upcoming games are also shown on the sidebar of most pages. And clicking on the game will reveal a pop-up screen showing all game details, including a Google map that displays the location of the game. You can get Google to suggest driving directions to the game, and you can even add the game to your own calendar with a simple click!

Mobile website optimized for smaller screens

The new, user friendly, mobile site designed specifically for mobile devices such as smartphones, lets you browse the latest games and keep up-to-date on news about the Eastman Raiders on-the-go.

Equipment Fittings – All coaches are required to assist on their teams fitting day

Crunchers & Atoms: Wednesday, June 8th 6:30-8:30pm
Pee Wee: Thursday, June 9th 6:30-8:30pm
Bantam: Friday, June 10th 6:30-8:30pm
Saturday, June 11th 10am-12pm anyone that couldn’t make their date.

Ensure to bring a Nov 01/16 post-dated cheque for $300. No equipment will be given without a cheque.
You will also receive an email from your team manager once all teams are finalized.

Pre-season meetings – Mandatory meetings, held at superstore community room

Trainers Meeting – Tuesday, May 24th 7:30-8:30pm
Managers Meeting – Wednesday, May 25th, 7:00-8:00pm
Coaches Meeting – Thursday, May 26th, 7:00-8:00pm

Clearspring Mall – Steinbach

Thursday, May 5th: 6:30-9pm
Friday, May 6th: 6:30-9pm
Saturday, May 7th: 10am – 2pm

Registration costs have changed for the 2016 season, we accept cash, cheque or credit.

Cruncher – 7 & 8 years old (Born 2008, 2009) – $205
Atom – 9 & 10 years old (Born 2006, 2007) – $230
Pee Wee – 11 & 12 years old (Born 2004, 2005) – $255
Bantam – 13 & 14 years old (Born 2002, 2003) – $280

Your child will be placed in the appropriate age group depending on their year of birth, not their age at the time of registration. E.g. If your child is turning 9 on December 30th, they will still be placed in the Atom age group.

Important items to bring to registration:
– Registration fee
Proof of age (birth certificate, passport, etc.)
– Proof of residency (hydro bill, phone bill, etc.)
– 2 post-dated cheques of $150 each for volunteering and fundraising (October 1st, 2016)
– Medical card (to fill out the medical forms)

Registration is first come, first served again this year. There is no preference given to returning players.

Red Zone Raiders Spring Camp

Once we have final numbers you will be contacted to make payment arrangements on March 1st at the Superstore Community room. Only cash or credit will be accepted as payment.

Indoor conditioning camp coming soon for any players or future players that will be in the  Atom (9-10)  and Pee Wee (11-12) level this season.

Dates are:
March 3rd, 10th, 17th and 22nd
Atoms – 6-7pm
Pee Wee – 7-8pm

Location: Mitchell Middle School

All kids are welcome, no previous experience necessary. NO CONTACT, please wear indoor non-scuffing shoes, comfortable clothing and bring football gloves if you have them.

Space is limited to 40 players per age group, registration will be online; first come first served. Cost is a very affordable $20 for all 4 sessions and all participants will receive a free Raiders t-shirt!

2015 Season Wrap-Up

Thank you!

This has been a tremendous year for the Eastman Raiders football club! With our 25th Anniversary Celebration being a huge success, we are looking forward to the next 25 years with excitement for football in our region. None of this success would have been possible without our amazing volunteers that give tirelessly throughout the season. A huge thank you goes out to all of our coaches, trainers, managers and board members as well as all of the parents and community members that have volunteered their time to allow a dedicated group of kids to play this great sport.

Tonight is the last scheduled night for equipment returns. If anyone still needs to return their players’ equipment please come down to the clubhouse tonight (Thursday, November 5th) from 5:00-6:30pm.

This is our final weekend of games before we head into championship weekend where all Cruncher teams and the top 2 teams from each age group will be playing at Investors Group Field!

Our Pee Wee team needs all of your help this weekend as we are taking on the St Vital Mustangs on their home field! The support at Tuesdays game in Transcona was phenomenal so let’s try to match or beat that noise!

Eastman Raiders Pee Wee team is going up against the Charleswood Broncos this Tuesday at 7pm at Transcona field. Come join us for an exciting evening of football under the lights and of course BRING THE NOISE!

Crunchers are also still playing through the month of October capping off the season at Investors Group Field during Championship Weekend so don’t forget to come cheer them on as well.

We had at least one coach from each of our Eastman Raiders teams take their turn in our dunk tank. We also had a special, one time offer to soak the President Sean Walsh for a donation. All proceeds went directly to Southeast Helping Hands.

We were able to donate 2 full bins of food and just over $160 in cash.

Thank you to all of the coaches for being good sports and to all players, parents and spouses for donating generously!

Raiders Days 25th Anniversary

We have 2 full days of football excitement ready to go for this weekend’s very special Raiders Days. You will of course want to be there for all of our action-packed home games so please refer to our schedule of events so you can be guaranteed to not miss a thing.

Both days there will be an absolutely amazing silent auction so be sure to stop by and get your tickets for your chance to win a prize. All proceeds go to support the Eastman Raiders Football
