Flag season kicked off this weekend with a series of exhibition games. Our teams had a mix of results. It’s great to see the enthusiasm for the upcoming season which starts in earnest this week. Thanks to all our volunteers who make this possible and we wish all of the teams good luck as they get down to the real business of the season, and remind everyone to have fun. Hopefully, we’ll see all our teams progress through to Championship Weekend at the Princess Auto Stadium.

2024 Spring Flag Registration is Now Open

Anyone can play Spring Flag Football – no previous football experience is necessary!
Practices will be held in Steinbach. All games are played in Winnipeg. Schedule to be announced by Football Manitoba.
Flag football is a variation of tackle football, which everyone is familiar with, but does not require equipment and is a non-contact sport. It is also one of the fastest growing sports around the world! Why? It’s a fast-paced game, easy to learn without the concerns sometimes associated with contact sports. Best of all it is incredibly fun. Many of the same skills needed in tackle football are also used in flag football, such as throwing, catching, hand-offs and running…all in a safe and welcoming environment.
The goal of the league is to provide an environment that enables children to learn and have fun. They will experience and adopt the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship.

2020 – Spring Flag Football
Fancy trying something different. This year for the first time the Eastman Raiders in association with Football Manitoba are bringing flag football to the Eastman area. The program is open to all players aged 7-18. This is an ideal introduction to football for those who have never played before and a great way for our tackle players to get in some additional game time before tackle season.
For the program to be a success, as always we’ll need volunteer coaches. Details on how to become a coach will be posted soon and we’ll provide all the necessary training.
Also, we’ll require some referees. If you’ve ever fancied donning the black and white strips and earning some extra pocket change then we’ll be posting more information soon. In the meantime head over to the Football Manitoba website for more information.
As this is a Football Manitoba program and not an MMFA program, the usual catchment areas are not in effect, meaning anyone can come and join the fun in Steinbach.
